2020 nissan murano

Vehicles don’t always change from year to year. There is typically a year when the company doesn’t make any changes at all. That isn’t the case for the 2020 Nissan Murano. There have been a few big changes that have been made since the 2019 model hit the showroom floor. The biggest change has to do with the safety features that are now offered as standard on the SV and SL trim levels.

There are a few additional changes that are specific to certain trim levels but nothing that is as significant as the addition of the safety features. Nissan has its own 360 safety package that has traditionally been reserved to the higher trim levels as an add on package.

Nissan Safety Shield 360

Not much has changed with the 2020 Nissan Murano. When it comes to buying the 2019 model or the 2020 model you may not think that the 2020 model is worth the price increase and may choose to opt for the 2019 Murano instead. However, with what you now get as standard on the SV and SL trim levels, the price difference is negligible.

The Nissan Safety Shield 360 is an amazing addition to these trim levels and gives added safety features that were previously unavailable. With automatic braking, pedestrian detection, backup assist, lane keep assist, and other valuable safety features, the 2020 Nissan Murano is worth the price change.

There are also new features like heated mirrors and rear sonar on the SV trim level as well as other features that are now standard. The SL model now has traffic light recognition, which has not been available previously on this trim level.

2020 Nissan Murano Price

Another important change that needs to be noted is the price increase across all models and trim levels. Now that there are other features being offered as standard, the price was of course going to increase. However, the increases are different from trim level to trim level. The Nissan Murano is one of the higher-priced two-row SUVs and that has not changed.

The S level has seen an increase of $160 from the base price while the SV has seen an increase of $620 on the base price. The other levels are not exempt and have seen a price jump as well. The SL trim level has gone up by $300 with the Platinum trim level only changing price by $100.

There is a destination charge on all of the 2020 Nissan Muranos that has not changed from the 2019 model to the new model. That charge is still $1,045.

The basic starting price for the 2020 Nissan Murano S model is $32,575, which rivals the 3-row SUVs on the market. The SV model goes up to $37,805 without any add ons.

So you may be asking yourself, is the 2020 Nissan Murano worth the price? While there has been a slight increase in price, the increase isn’t much of an increase. With the upgrades on safety features and tech, it’s definitely worth the additional price to provide additional safety.
